During the holidays, it seems like everyone starts to put their nutrition and exercise on the back burner. And for good reason! It's very busy, you have a list of a million things to do, and you seem to never get a break. I know the struggle all too well. But this holiday season let's focus on a different sort of health that is equally as important as your physical health! MENTAL HEALTH. Being at war with your body is exhausting, and staring at the scale daily can mentally take a toll on you. Don't feel bad for having a slice of pie (or two) and not going for a run to "make up for it" the next day. It is okay to indulge and enjoy the time spent with family. You will not wreck any progress you may have made perviously. Do not torture yourself! The best way to stay on track during the holidays is having everything in moderation, and knowing that it's okay if you would rather snuggle on the couch on a cold day instead of hitting the gym. There are so many ways to take care of your health, and sometimes you need a reset. Thanksgiving has passed, and we are gearing up for Christmas. Don't feel guilty about the foods you eat! Enjoy the tasty treats and get back to your regular routine after. Choose to be happy and do not make yourself suffer this year. The gym will be there tomorrow, and the next day. Broccoli and chicken aren't going out of style any time soon. Eat those carbs and be jolly! Happy holidays.
